New Fabric Design

"Handtufted Rug Art"

If you are looking for an interesting and original focal point for a room a hand tufted wool rug certainly provides that. Even after years of creating designs for private commissions I never tire of making a design into a functioning piece of art. Made in Ireland by master craftsmen with great attention to detail and lots of patience! These rugs are superb quality to be enjoyed for a lifetime.

"Blue Hydrangea" Printed Linen Fabric

Loved working on this latest design for some Irish printed linen. Taken from some ink sketches done last summer. Coloured inks are a lovely medium to work in and have such vibrant colour. One of my favourite ways to work! I keep a sketchbook of ink drawings from places I have been. Lots of drawings of plants and patterns found in nature. I frequently return to them as a source of inspiration and the basis for new designs.

These ink drawings were made during a week spent drawing in Dublins beautiful Botanic Gardens. The greenhouses were just bursting with ferns and tropical foliage of all shapes. Inspiring even for the most lack lustre gardener! This is one of a few drawings I made ... work in progress.

Delighted to be working on a range of textiles using my ink paintings. I enjoy working across a number of disciplines from painting to textiles, the ideas flow between each other and keep me inspired! The possibilities are exciting.

"Pigeon House Regatta"

This print was new for 2020 and turned out to be very popular. The red and white chimney stacks of Dublins Pigeon House are iconic and much loved by people....This print is still available as a fleece blanket for 2021.

I was delighted to be part of last years "Incognito" exhibition for the Jack & Jill children's foundation. To raise funds for gravely ill children and their families. It was a huge success raising more than 140K during Covid. Exhibitors included Bono, Paul Costelloe, Maser and many more.

Its all happening again this year. So stay tuned and please support if you can.

"My work is primarily about colour and pattern. Inspired by nature, science and mans interaction with both. I work in both digital and traditional mediums across a number of disciplines."

My instagram pages are updated regularly with sketches and insights into my studio work and life.

I ordered a print to hang in my new apartment. Shirley was very helpful and the print looks great in my hallway.
