Painted Sculptures

Meet the lovely Blanche my special ellie for a special cause…

The Elephant in the Room Charity Founded by Brent Pope

Blanche is my painted Elephant for The Elephant in the Room Movement.

The Elephant in the Room was founded by Brent Pope, New Zealand rugby player and tv sports commentator. He wanted to raise awareness around mental health issues at home and in the workplace. Each elephant is unique in style and while Blanche is a bright and joyous design she carries a serious message to be mindful and aware.

Blanche can be seen at the Blanchardstown
Centre in Dublin.

Prints for Textiles

I love to collaborate with brands and create patterns for textiles which are bold and colourful. Graphic shapes and a strong colour palette are the trademarks of my designs. I frequently post patterns on my instagram page. You can contact me for collaborations on shirley.copperwhite@gmail.com

“Castle Gardens” Print Design May 2025

I created this image after a trip to the beautiful city of Lisbon where I visited the gardens and castle of Sao Jorge high above the city.

Bespoke Prints

I design prints for fabric and as artworks to be framed. I also print my designs on linen and other fabrics for one off unique projects. There are many more examples in the menu under textiles.

A piece of printed linen in my studio waiting to be stretched and framed for a client.

The fabric on this chair was a custom printed piece of linen. A one off piece for a client who wanted something unique and original.

Paintings on Wood Panels

There is something very satisfying about painting on wooden panels. My work is about shape and colour and about seeing the world in a stripped back way. Its about simplified shapes and non literal colour palettes.

“The Wood for the Trees” is the first of a series that I am currently working on.

Collage Art

“Art is the elimination of the unnecessary” Pablo Picasso

My collage work is created using simplified shapes where colour and form interact. I use hand painted papers to make each piece on wooden panels.
